Golden King.......a spectacular, evergreen, female form with nearly spine-free leaves green in centre with bright gold margins. Compact habit, tiny white flowers in spring followed by red berries on pollinated plants. Shade tolerant, retaining golden variegation in the shade.

Golden Milkboy.....is a dense, upright male cultivar, bearing elliptic, spiny leaves on purplish green stems with irregular central gold marks. evergreen tree or large shrub with glossy spiny leaves with dark green margins with yellow center, and gray bark. Seedless red berries borne in profusion are attractive in winter.

The Holly Tree is a symbol of winter in both Pagan and Christian lore and is associated with death and rebirth. Holly was hung and planted around the home as a protection from evil spirits and is still used today as a decoration throughout Christmas time.
